Still on Fire... Just Stuck at Gate M9
The mic dropped, the message landed — and then the universe gave me a chance to live it at O’Hare.
SPARK Insights by Coach Reg — Issue #0022
A few days ago, I stood on stage at Perry Marshall’s Equity 2.0 event.
No script.
No rigid slides.
Just a handful of images from the SPARKS and a simple contact slide to close.
I wasn’t there to impress anyone.
I was there to be fully present with the room, with the stories, and with whatever needed to move through me.
And something shifted.
Not just in the audience.
In me.
Here’s what I realized, once the dust settled
This isn’t a once-a-year moment. It’s several times a year now.
I’m not waiting for the “perfect stage” or the “big event.” This way of being — real, resonant, transformative — is becoming normal.
I can lead an 80-minute experience straight from intuition.
A few anchor images. A living energy with the people in the room. That’s enough. More than enough.
I’m at peace if my message changes just one person’s life.
Gone is the need to “wow the room.” I’m here for the one heart that's ready. Every time.
I can sit at a table for hours, with no break, and spark transformation in minutes.
Time bends when you’re working in presence. Five minutes can change a life if you’re willing to meet someone exactly where they are.
And yet…
The very week, I got a test.
I was sitting at Gate M9 at O’Hare, trying to get to Salt Lake City.
Delays. Uncertainty. No updates. Tension.
You know the feeling.
And right there, slouched in a fake leather seat, eating overpriced trail mix, I heard a quiet voice ask:
“Are you going to live this message, or just speak it?”
Because here’s the truth:
Resistance is not theoretical.
It’s not just a coaching concept or a neat diagram on a whiteboard.
It’s flight delays.
It’s financial uncertainty.
It’s “Why aren’t people lining up to work with me yet?”
It’s the moment your plans crumble and your identity wants to spiral with them.
That’s when I had to choose — again.
Would I let anxiety hijack the moment, try to force the outcome, micromanage the future, and tell myself I’m behind?
Or would I take my own medicine?
Would I jump over the Fear Line — not in front of an audience, but here, alone — and trust that the future version of me was already moving toward me?
Because that’s the rub, right?
You can speak truth on a stage.
But are you willing to live it at Gate M9?
That’s what integration really is:
It’s not post-event journaling or debriefs.
It’s walking the message when it’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, and unglamorous.
Authenticity means showing up even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
It means breathing through the wait — not bypassing it.
It means anchoring in faith instead of reaching for control.
That’s what the Fear Line teaches us.
You don’t cross it once. You cross it every time you’re tempted to shrink, strive, or sabotage.
And each time you do — each time you feel the heat and still take a step —
You get closer to the version of you that’s already waiting on the other side.
the SPARKS wasn't just a book launch.
It was a living mirror.
Not just for the audience.
For me, too.
Because I saw it — over and over last week:
The person who said that they didn’t know exactly why they were at Equity 2.0 until they heard me speak - the clarity coming after a wave of emotion
The person who has a vision to bring a simple concept to the whole world but needed a strategy to find their next best step
The individual that couldn’t put a finger on why they find a way to avoid Renaissance Time every day but kept every other appointment religiously until we asked one simple, sharp question to pierce the BS
The person who needed to get to the bedrock of why money wasn’t showing up like it used to and how BS has been preventing them from taking decisive action
SPARK Insights Reflection
What “truth” have you ben saying out loud or to yourself that isn’t passing the “real life test”?
What are you believing to be true about you that doesn’t match up with your experience in your life?
Do you dare this week to ask yourself THESE TWO questions and face the answers?
If you're ready to meet your You 2.0 and cross the threshold you’ve been standing at for too long, a SPARK Session will be the catalyst you're looking for.
