It’s Never Too Late to Rewrite Your Story

Old programming will sabotage new strategies—until you change the story at its root.

This week I coached someone seasoned in life and business. Past middle-age. Successful in many ways. And still — unknowingly — carrying a story that was programmed into them decades ago.

The source? Their mother.

A subtle message. A “spell” cast early on.
The kind of programming that plays quietly in the background of our lives, shaping how we think, act, and even earn.

Here’s the truth I shared in that moment, and it wasn’t easy to say:

“No matter what strategies you put in place, if the intent is to generate income, that old programming will subversively sabotage those strategies. No amount of grit, determination, hustle, or even ignorance will be enough to overcome it. Until you deal with the root, the strategies will fail.”

That landed.

So together, we didn’t chase more tactics. We went back to the exact moment when the spell was cast. We named it. We reversed the polarity of the story.

And then something remarkable happened.

That old story transformed into a triumphant story arc — one that actually carried this person into joy and success.

In their words, “This is one of the most joyous days of my life.”

All because they shifted the energy of a single story.

The Direct Truth

Many of you will read this as a nice piece of encouragement or inspiration. And that’s fine.
