It was a whisper.
A quiet, almost dismissive thought that surfaced during my morning meditation in early December:
"Eat more vegetables. Drink more water."
I nearly ignored it. It felt too simple, too obvious. But something about it stuck.
Then, something else happened—my mentors started talking about health.
One of them posed a simple but profound question:
“What good is wealth if you aren’t alive or well enough to enjoy it?”
That landed hard. I’ve spent my life building businesses, mentoring, and making an impact—but if my body wasn’t thriving, how much did any of that really matter?
I’ve battled allergies and asthma for as long as I can remember—literally since childhood. I’ve carried an inhaler most of my life, dealt with chronic congestion, and been sensitive to everything from pollen and tobacco to pets and the changing seasons.
It’s just the way life was.
Then, in January 2013, something new—something terrifying—showed up.
I started losing my balance. My ears rang constantly. Tinnitus. My head felt like it was in a pressure cooker, and my body seemed to be betraying me in ways I couldn’t understand.
The worst part? No one could give me an answer.
I saw doctors. Specialists. Functional medicine practitioners. I tried acupuncture, chiropractic work, nutritionists, energy healers, even remote energy healers. The symptoms would come and go, but nothing truly changed for the last 12 years.
I learned to live with it. Until my daughters started experiencing the same symptoms.
That was the moment everything shifted. This wasn’t just about me.
I started eliminating foods, looking for triggers. The biggest culprit? Gluten.
The moment I cut it out, I felt a difference. And when my daughters followed, they did too. But even after years of adjustments, my body still wasn’t right. Something deeper was going on.
